My friend Lisa gifted me a 2.5" precut pack of fabric in my favorite muddy colours. I have always looked at these in the shops....but wondered what I would make with one!
I laid them out and rearranged them several times. But in the end I found this simple design worked best. I thought it deserved a fancy quilting pattern...but my quilting repertoire only holds a few designs....
so wavy spirals it was. A nice quick fun finish and the stash was nicely reduced by a fat quarter for the backing, sashing and binding, not a huge volume, but every little bit helps.
...my mission to reduce my stash continues!
Happy quilting, Sue.

Well done, another finish. I have a lovely table runner on my kitchen table that some kind lady made for me!
ReplyDeleteVery sweet little finish. Those muddy colors are my favorites, too!
ReplyDeleteI love your title as well as your new table runner. Sometimes working on a project can be like giving birth! Your quilting swirls were the perfect compliment to the squares in your design.
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely to use a gift all in one project. The swirls work really well.
ReplyDeletelove it and the wavy spirals are perfect for it...

You did a great job with the pre-cut squares. Does this table runner already have a home? Your stash busting is coming along. I had great plans for this weekend but soccer matches put paid to most of that.
ReplyDeleteI like it a lot ....and your spirals are the perfect foil to the squares and rectangles. Another finish crossed off your list. You're on fire !
